Get Ready to Witness Something Unique from Tech Giant Samsung
So, people are anticipating that the new OLED TV player, will be doing some wonders. Samsung is the top-selling TV brand worldwide, but sadly it's QLED televisions have never performed so well as the OLED TVs made by their rivals LG. To compete with the rivals, Samsung made an announcement in the CES 2022 that they’ve tackled those rivals head on with their new QD display, which is a unique kind of big-screen that relies on OLED technology. Unlike the LG’s WRGB OLED panels, which have a dedicated white sub-pixel to push higher brightness levels, Samsung’s QD-OLED technology uses red, green, and blue pixels for creating whites. Moreover, a big thanks to the Samsung Quantum Dot magic, that each pixel works efficiently, resulting in better color combinations, higher brightness effects, and wider viewing angles.
And to our surprise, the TV wasn’t announced in any official press conference like Samsung’s other models. Instead, it appeared to be awarded as the best innovation awards winner at CES 2022. So, from here we can imagine that the game is leveling up.

Other features mentioned include four HDMI 2.1 inputs, a 144Hz refresh rate, a "Neo Quantum Processor" and immersive sound.
Samsung Appears to Beat LG’S OLED In Picture Quality
Samsung’s 65-inch QD-Display TV is the world’s first true RGB self-emitting Quantum Dot OLED Display, combining the contrasting levels of RGB OLED with the true colors & brightness of the quantum dots. Other features include four HDMI 2.1 inputs, a 144Hz refresh rate, a Neo Quantum Processor, and immersive sound control. Moreover, Samsung’s QD-OLED panel produced 27% higher brightness than LG's OLED TV. On full screen, the white frames reached up to 1,400 nits in a small bright window. In comparison, the LG reached a brightness level of 800 nits. The QD-OLED also reproduced better reds, greater detail in the brighter and darker scenes, with higher color volume than the LG’s OLED.
Costing & Production Issued Might Limit QLD-OLED'S Success
Moreover, the Samsung DX which makes Samsung TV’s best is taking a measured approach towards the OLED TVs, specifically since it was hesitant to launch the OLED TVs due to their burning issues, and low brightness. The company itself holds an OLED panel from LG and QD-OLED panels from the Samsung Display as a part of the dual-tracking strategies. With two supply partners, the company might get some stability and lower prices due to the competition between LG Display & Samsung Display.
Even during the CES 2022 event, Jong-Hee Han the CEO of Samsung DX said that the QD OLED TVs are being mass-produced but not at a level of quantity Samsung has sought. When asked about Samsung’s deal with the LG Display for the TV panel, he further added that I can not say that because there is nothing confirmed regarding the working plan but we’re open to any kind of suggestions & options. Samsung Display is also selling its QD-OLED panels to other brands, including Sony and Dell. Sony has already switched from LG’s OLED to Samsung’s OD-OLED for its flagship. Alienware also mentioned that its flagship gaming monitor uses Samsung's 34-inch QD-OLED panel with a 175Hz refresh rate, 0.1ms response time, and HDR. Alienware comes with a 3-year warranty against the burn-in.
The Last Verdict Related To Samsung New Approach
Currently, the OLED panels are manufactured by the LG Display official coming in a variety of sizes, and sales prices on the OLED TVs. From the fallen below rates of about $1,000 for the smallest, least-expensive examples. So, we’re not expecting Samsung’s QD-OLED TVs to offer as much variety or get as affordable especially in the first few years, with instant picture improvements.
